Apple blames new law for why progressive web apps don't work right in the EU

The EU is abusing its authority, but Apple is abusing its customers.  It is hard to like the behavior of either party.

Customers should demand the EU lay off Apple repealing the law in question and demand Apple treat iOS/iPadOS like macOS with 'sideloading' permitted.  Simple, straight forward.  The tech is already built and just needs ported to iOS/iPadOS.  All of this abuse of power non-sense doesn't have to be.  Your iPhone is your phone.  It is outrageous that Apple thinks it can control what applications can be installed on it in the name of security.  We all know it is about money and control.

Reasonable explanation from Apple’s end, (...)

    Not to me.
When a PWA starts and the default browser is not Safari, iOS could simply display a warning like "This is going to use Safari, not the default browser you choose, do you agree?"
