Everything is OLED screens but Apple products! LOL! Even the Chineses branded laptops, tablets, PC monitors and smartphones!
Apple OLED in the iPad Pro isn't the same as the rest of the crowd, Apple didn't settle for the usual lower end (before 2024) OLED choice that Samsung in particular wanted to give them.
iPad hardware has been more than enough for several generations now. If there is any breakthrough advance it lies with the software.
Very true. Apple dropping iPadOS upgrades for a certain model influences my upgrade cycle more than new features do. Even my iPad Pro 10.5” is still an extremely useful tool and fast enough for most of what I do. But if I could only choose between an iPad Pro and a MacBook Air - it would be very difficult decision.
As far as advancing the iPadOS itself, the last thing I want is macOS running on an iPad, but there are definitely a couple of key areas where iPadOS would benefit from some improvements. I think the iPad’s reliance on touch-first UI is really what’s holding back Apple from doing something like a version of Finder specially crafted for iPadOS.
So now there's 48 current models of iPad? Wow! But confusion in the hallway about four different models of Apple Pencil and which is for what. Does anything get discontinued?
