You can now use Siri on select Denon Home Series speakers -- provided you already have a HomePod in your house.

Denon, a company known for its wireless receivers and smart speakers, has quietly rolled out a feature that allows you to control Siri on select smart speakers. This includes the Denon Home Soundbar 550, which also features support for Dolby Atmos.

Like the EcoBee Smart Thermostat lineup, you still need to have a HomePod or HomePod mini added to your Home network. Because Siri is only available on first-party Apple devices, Denon's speakers are only relaying the information to the Apple speakers.

Compatible models include Denon Home Series models 150, 250, 350, and the 550 Soundbar. As HomeKitNews points out, all of these speakers support AirPlay 2 integration.

But, to add support to Siri, you'll need to remove them from your smart home and re-add them afterward. It is also important to note that if you've used Alexa in the past, it will be disabled, as only one voice assistant can be active at a time.

Users who want to add Siri integration will need to run iOS 16.1 or later, as well as the HEOS app version 3.1.X or later. Denon provides full instructions on its website here.
