Other US companies do this every day. Ford, IBM, McDonald's, Microsoft, Coca Cola,…
Fun facts:
Ford was fined by the EU for emissions fraud (and by the US for circumventing import tariffs)
IBM avoided a heavy EU antitrust fine for abusing their position in supercomputing by making major concessions and offering to redress past imbalances.
McDonald's was severely fined in at least one EU nation for tax avoidance.
These companies have adapted at least in part. IBM is recognizing unions in the EU. McDonald's is even doing "we're happy to work with unions" statements in EU. Apple spent 10 years against USB-C even after having signed a deal to make a common charger. The politicians got tired. Now Apple is on their own without any political goodwill left.

Careful here: Apple signed on for a current charger, and they were among the first to go USB-C (even exclusively so on their MacBooks in 2016, when hardly anybody else was using it at all).
Until 2022 (just two years ago!), the EU common charger was supposed to be fucking MICRO USB.
More proof that the EU will use the DMA to constantly move the goalposts and claim violations. The fact that they’re not going to immediately impose a fine means that the “violation” isn’t really clear in the original language.
They’ve got to find ways to fund their lifestyles somehow. Americas richest company ought to b eca nice piggy bank to break into when needed.

Oy. You're not supposed to tell everybody that we're all just living off your taxes.

Aren't you jumping the gun here by not actually waiting for a fine to be imposed or listening to the reasons behind it?
