There is a magazine that's somehow found itself on my subscription list called "Presentation" and it's a PowerPoint-centric magazine. They had a review of Keynote in the last issue and gave it a 3 (out of 6 or 7 I think). They basically wrote Keynote off as being not "pro" enough, which is probably true.

Totally trouncing an app with a mature user-base is a tough row to hoe, but Keynote's gotten off to a good start. Maybe a year from now Presentation magazine will give it a more favorable rating....but don't count on it.

We'll probably see keynote follow the evolution of the other recent (i)apps from Apple with version 1 being a good start, version 2 quite usable, and version 3 being a good, fast, and feature rich application. Presentation magazine is mostly directed againts heavy presentation users which is not the main target audience for Apples Keynote yet. Keynote simply lack to many features like decent drawing tools to satisfy these customers. They will come, I'm sure, but until then PP will still be the app of choice for power users.
