Disney+ adds Iceland immersive environment to Apple Vision Pro
Owners of the Apple Vision Pro can now experience a whole new immersive environment, with Disney+ bringing users virtually to Iceland.

One of the selling points of the Apple Vision Pro is the prospect of entering immersive environments. For subscribers of Disney+ who also own Apple's headset, there's a whole new option available.
Launched on Monday, the new environment is titled Iceland, with the icon representing it bearing the National Geographic logo. This is in fact the first ever immersive projects National Geographic has created for the Apple Vision Pro.
The environment takes users to the rocky terrain of Thingvellir National Park in Iceland. Blanketed with snow, the scene at the UNESCO world heritage site was captured by a team of National Geographic photographers.
Disney Studio Technology was tapped to assist in producing the high-resolution 3D models, which were captured using photogrammetry and gigapixel panoramas.
Iceland joins the existing roster of Disney+ environments, including a Theater, Scare Floor, Avengers Tower, and Tatooine.
