Apple is making a new offer to select iPhone users to apply for its Apple Card credit card, including the highest "welcome bonus" the company has yet offered.

$300 welcome offer included in recent emails to select Apple customers.

The offer is being extended to targeted iPhone or other Apple device users. If you are approved for an Apple Card -- which is currently limited to the US only -- you must spend $1,500 using the card in the first 60 days.

Shortly after meeting those conditions, Apple will deposit the $300 bonus in the form of Daily Cash. It can be directed to your Apple Card Savings account or the Apple Cash account.

Originally, Apple didn't offer "welcome" or "sign up" bonuses to users, but in recent years the company has relented in the face of bonus offers from other cards. It has occasionally offered bonuses of $50, $100, or $200 during certain promotional periods for successful new Apple Card signups.

Users must apply and by accepted by September 3rd, 2024 in order to qualify for the offer. You can check your eligibility for an Apple card by visiting the company's Apple Card webpage without affecting your credit score.

The Apple Card offers between one percent and three percent daily cash back on purchases. It does not charge any fees of any kind, and does not sell user data to sellers or marketers.

Because of its high user satisfaction scores, the Apple Card has recently won its fourth user satisfaction award in the last four years from J.D. Power among co-branded credit cards with no annual fee.

To answer the questions from people wanting the Apple card in their non-US countries: when Apple can find a financial partner willing to jump through the bureaucratic hoops to offer it in those countries. Apple's lack of fees probably really hurts it in this regard.

This...IMO this is really a great card for the consumer, but probably not so great for the financial backer of the card. They never make any money off me as I just use it for the cash back and then pay the balance off as soon as I can pay it. And I also love the savings account where I put nearly all of my savings into because of its great APR. Yes, there are better ones out there but it's just so easy to use and maintain the Apple Card.

I think there are too many responsible people using the Apple Card so its partner isn't making the money off it they had hoped and its making it harder for partners in other counties to see where they'd benefit from partnering with Apple on a credit card.
