Apple subsidiary Beats by Dre has released new firmware for the Beats Studio Pro, which finally brings Audio Sharing to the headphones.

Four pairs of over-ear headphones in black, blue, beige, and brown, displayed side by side, each featuring a prominent 'b' logo on the ear cups.

On its release, the Beats Studio Pro offered quite a few positive features, including Active Noise Cancellation and Personalized Spatial Audio. However, despite being available on Beats hardware since 2019, Audio Sharing wasn't included in the Beats Studio Pro's features list.

That has changed thanks to a new piece of firmware released by Beats.

Firmware build 2C301 is made, which finally adds the feature to the Beats Studio Pro. The update will download and install automatically to the over-ear headphones while they are in use. There is no manual update capacity available for the firmware.

The Beats Studio Pro have custom 40mm drivers with near-zero distortion, as well as an integrated digital processor for a balanced sound profile. Light at 9.18 ounces, it also boasts a long battery life of up to 40 hours with ANC and Transparency off, or 24 hours with the features enabled.

The Beats Studio Pro are priced at $349, but they are often discounted on Amazon.

I bought these when the first came out, for a ridiculous discount. I’m not really a headphone person, partly because of all the editing I used to do with headphones on, long ago (various Koss Pro models). That soured me in them. But these really do sound pretty good.
