Apple has sent out a survey to some Apple Watch users, not just to gauge satisfaction and ask about future features, but also to see if the public is using a smart ring like the rumored Apple Ring.

Apple wants to know how you feel about Apple Watch

As the iPhone-maker's media event looms for the iPhone 16 and Apple Watch Series 10, it is gathering information from its users on how they feel about the existing models.

AppleInsider has seen some of the questions sent to owners of the wearable. The survey touches on many areas that have been rumored to of interest to Apple, such as other wearable categories, battery life, and how well the existing health features work.

The survey was emailed to a set of users who have a registered Apple Watch. It guides them through a series of questions that took about 10 minutes to complete.

They asked if users used any other wearables, including a smart ring. Some form of Apple smart ring has been rumored for some time. Obviously, nothing is concrete as of yet.

Battery life has long been a topic of controversy on Apple Watch

Apple also had several questions about battery life satisfaction. This has been a constant complaint from users and they seem to be wanting to learn more about how users are charging their device.

They asked how often they charge the watch, when they charge it, how happy they are with the battery life, and if they use a fast charger.

The Apple Watch Series 10 is rumored to have slightly improved battery lifeap but it will still likely only last one day, compared to a week or more from competitors like Garmin.

A question from the survey on sleep features

There was also a series of questions on sleep tracking. They asked if users sleep with the watch, how often they sleep with it, why they sleep with it, what sleep or bedtime features people use, and how satisfied people are with the sleep app.

That lines up with Apple's rumored research into detecting sleep apneaap.

Finally, the survey touches on Double Tap, general health features, and overall happiness.

These market surveys are nothing new, and Apple often uses them. They don't usually spill anything groundbreaking or revealing, but it is interesting to see Apple ask users questions about features they're rumored to be exploring -- like that Apple Ring.

The new round of Apple Watches are set to be revealed at Apple's Glowtime event on September 9th at 1 PM Eastern Time.

I received that survey yesterday.   I do wish a couple of questions had more that just a yes or no answer- like do I wear my watch when sleeping.   Overall, the answer was no, but not 100%.  I will wear it about once or so a month overnight to get more detailed sleep readings.

Anyway, it's good to see they want to know how we use the watch.

I'm a long term user of the Apple Watch from the UK, currently using series 9 ss
I haven't had a survey from Apple and they know what the real problem is, battery life!!!
It doesn't last a day, if you want to leave your iPhone behind and you use cellular, so that's a myth and that's the biggest down side!

I am not blaming the Apple nowadays, just missing the old days, there is a market or product leader, a real leader, a pioneer, who lead an industry, drives people to the place where he knows it is better, the place no one think it does exist, or, if it really doesn’t exist, he create it.

We want something because it is better, we think it is better, until someone tells us it is wrong, we doubt, we laugh, then, he prove it, we buy it.
    Thank you Steve.

I had this survey the other day about my series 2 Apple Watch to see if I still use it everyday (yes) does the battery still last all day (mostly yes) currently drops below 10% on active days about 1/2 hour to early.

I think a new one is in order will be black ultra if that comes next week with black stainless as the fall back.
