The wifi 7 router is till expensive. I wonder even most of consumer replace their router to wifi 6E.
Until the wifi 7 router sell under $200, not much reason Apple adapt wifi 7 at this point.
The iPhone and laptop are running on different environment.

These days, Amazon sell 2.5Gb NIC USB dongle at under $30. For the desktop, I rather use ethernet cable than wifi.

    That power button location.
    How ridiculous!

I’ll bet a third party will make a Mac Mini mini stand to raise it up just a little so you can access the power button without moving it. That said, I really don’t use the power button much at all so it isn’t a big deal for me.
What a ridiculously stupid and irrelevant comment.
Hardly irrelevant, therefore not ridiculously stupid

I was hoping the height would stay under 1.75" for 1RU rack mounting. At 5" wide, I'd be able to get three in a row on a 1RU rack shelf, but now I'd need 2RU, wasting a fair amount of space...

I wonder if they can be mounted sideways, so up to 8 would fit in 3RU. (Obviously rack would have to have proper air circulation). That would be a lot of horsepower and a lot more I/O in less rack space than the 5RU Mac Pro!
It kind of makes sense to rack them front face down, and side to side as that optimizes airflow, and the power "button" is easily accessible. Probably won't be accessing the two front TB ports, so, all in all, the M4 Pro looks to be ideal for server stacks.

Note that the front USB-C ports are not TB. Best used as a quick peripheral connection.

Just for a giggle I thought I'd see how much Apple would offer me to trade in my Mac Mini M2 Pro on a new M4 Pro - they suggested I could "recycle" it to save the planet!!! :open_mouth:

I’ve been hoping for something like this new Mac Mini, but when I factor in Apple’s premium pricing on ram, and storage, I just can’t pull the pin. Affording it isn’t the issue, it’s just plainly unwarranted. That and a $100 extra for a 10G port? Apples just laughing at us now.
