Hands on with Belkin's Vision Pro strap that Apple didn't want to make
Apple elected not to make a combination strap for Apple Vision Pro that used the solo knit back with an over the head support. Belkin made one instead, and we've got it installed.
The new Belkin head strap for Apple Vision Pro
Well-known accessory maker Belkin is out with its latest accessory for Apple's spatial computer. Dubbed the Head Strap for Apple Vision Pro, it fills a hole that Apple itself made.
When Vision Pro was announced, eagle-eyed viewers noticed a marketing image that showed the headset with this dual-strap setup. It was never released and eventually scrubbed by Apple.
Apple's unreleased combo Vision Pro strap
Doing so, Apple would have admitted that Vision Pro was hefty and benefited from this strap. Now we have the next-best thing.
A simple addition to Vision Pro
The strap from Belkin feels very Apple-like. It's super soft and the grey color matches that of the first-party straps perfectly.
You must remove the strap and the power cable to connect the Belkin head strap
Each end has a little plastic cover that slides on over the speakers. The right side is easy, just needing the solo knit strap removed, but the left side does require the power cable to be detached.
We wish that you could leave the power connected so it doesn't have to reboot each time you want to take the cable on or off.

They did retain the position markers for the cable, which is appreciated it. They're subtle, but do exist so you know where to insert the charger and which way to rotate it.
Beyond that, it has a hook and loop connector that you can pull snug above your head.
Available to order now
Belkin isn't the first or only company to release a top head strap for the Apple Vision Pro. Spigen and AnnaPro both make solid options that have their proponents.
Wearing Apple Vision Pro with the Belkin head strap to help distribute the weight
We'd say that Belkin's is most Apple-like of them all. It definitely improves the comfort and fit, enhancing long wear sessions.
Now that Apple has started to test the ultra-wide display option for Mac, we may see people wearing it longer while they work.
Belkin's new head strap for Vision Pro is available
We can't argue with the fact that Apple Vision Pro does feel more stable with a second strap like this. You get the comfort of the solo knit strap with the added stability of the top strap.
It is a little on the pricey side, costing $49.95. After spending $3,499 on Vision Pro, though, it seems like a small price to pay for comfort.
You can order it for yourself through the Apple Store, should shipping seems to have already slipped into December.
