The fourth round arrives after the third, which was on November 11 for iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS Sequoia 15.2. That date also saw the second developer betas of tvOS 18.2 and watchOS 11.2, with visionOS 2.2's second build landing one day later on November 12.
Apple brought out the third tvOS 18.2 and visionOS 2.2 builds on November 18.
The fourth builds of iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 are build number 22C5142a, replacing 22C5131e. The fourth macOS Sequoia 15.2 build is 24C5089c, up from 24C5079e, and the third watchOS 11.2 beta is build 22S5094a.
For iOS and iPadOS, the main changes to Apple Intelligence were graphic-based, including the introduction of Genmoji and Image Playground. iPhone 16 owners can try out Visual Intelligence, asking queries using the iPhone camera.
Writing Tools, a previous addition to iOS and iPadOS, gains a new API for third-party apps.
Siri has its long-awaited ChatGPT integration for some queries. Apple is also making Apple Intelligence available in more regions.
The third round introduced a new feature, where Find My adds Share Item Location. It lets users share the location of an AirTag or other Find My-enabled accessories to third parties, including airlines for lost luggage.
AppleInsider and Apple strongly advise that users do not install test operating systems or other beta or RC software onto "mission-critical" or primary hardware, due to the small chance of issues that could result in the loss of data. Testers should therefore use secondary or non-essential devices and make sure they have sufficient backups of any critical data.
