Good, fair review. I really would like one.

But my laptop is due for an upgrade within the next 12 months and have been gently researching what to buy, I’m expecting to spent about $1200 on that and it just sort of puts into perspective how expensive the mini is as a companion device.

It’s just that bit too expensive to be an impulse buy for me.

Sounds like the iPad mini 7 is perfect for those who want a compact, no-frills tablet for media and gaming, but itʼs not trying to compete with the Pro line.

I had the same realization after a few weeks—the iPad mini 7 isn’t trying to be a laptop replacement, and that’s what makes it great. It’s the perfect in-between for reading, note-taking, and casual browsing. At Phonexa, I use it constantly during meetings for quick data review without the bulk of a full setup.
