is well known not only in the smart home space, but in the window shade market as well for custom shades that just work. We reviewed Lutron's Serena Shades and found them to look great and work flawlessly.

They weren't inexpensive though, which is why Lutron set out to bring the price down with its mass-market Caseta shades. They re-engineered the internals, streamlined the manufacturing, and dropped the cost substantially.

Lutron Caseta shades come in both roller-style and honeycomb for only $399 for any size under 48 inches. Blackout options are available for $30 more and custom options up to 96-inches wide and 104 inches tall.

The shades ship directly to your door and Lutron says they can be installed in as little as 15 minutes. Orders are open now and shipping begins in February 2025.

Like other Lutron products, the new Caseta shades work with Apple Home, alongside Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Lutron also offers an outdoor smart plug, remotes, and plenty of lighting solutions for both consumer and professional markets.

Curious to know what the noise level is like. We have as few Eve roller shades that are fairly noisy compared to our Hunter Douglas shades that we hear but are significantly less obnoxious. The HD shades are quiet enough that if I’m not in the same room I usually don’t hear them, but the Eve shades I can hear when I’m on a different floor.
