    Who is the target audience for this story? Why choose to share it with an AppleInsider reader, of all people? 🤔 Personally, I found it slightly offensive—just my two cents. Cheerio!

    The offensive part is that this is not a good deal.  A M4 mac mini has the same 16Gb and 256GB SSD, is faster and has been on sale for the exact $499 price.  Much faster, years more support for the same price.

     This is the exact opposite of a good deal.  I bought my M4 Mac Mini last month for $499 and it also has 16GB RAM and 256 GB SSD.   Right now one can typically buy the M4 version for only $50 more.   Do not buy.
