In reality, the fact that Tim donated to Trump's inauguration shows how active he is in working with all people to accomplish his and Apple's goals rather than crying about who is in the Executive Branch. Much respect to Tim.
Hilarious. Yeah, Tim's "active" in working with all people -- and the "activity" required to work with Trump was to hand over a million dollars of Tim's personal money. That's actually not even "work with him" money. A million hopefully buys you Trump not abusing the power of the Presidency to harm your company. Let's remember the guy has immunity now for whatever crimes he chooses to commit while in office! And how much was the shakedown, ummm, I mean Tim's "donation" to work with Biden? Oh, that's right! The amount Tim handed over to Biden was $0.

What about Harris raising over $1 Billion for her election campaign.  Have you looked into how much came from Soros and other foreigners?  It is very seldom questioned when the money goes to Democrats, but if a Republican gets big donations, it is suddenly bad and the world is ending.  And as was pointed out in other comments, donations to inaugural celebrations and parties aren't something covered by the FEC.

Politicians from both parties accept all sorts of donations.  When I get concerned is when the donations are from people who aren't citizens, e.g. Soros and his son and many others.  Heck, the Labour Party in Great Britain sent 100 Labour Pary employees over to the USA to help Harris - and then they have the nerve to complain about Musk saying something about their party?  Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

I’d like to see Citizens United overturned, and the size of political donations significantly restricted, corporations no longer considered “people” and donors of all money in politics required to be transparently documented.

Also, according to multiple sources turned up in a search, George Soros is a US citizen. He apparently holds a dual citizenship with Hungary as well. For comparison, Elon Musk is a US citizen, as well as a Canadian citizen. He may or may not still hold a South African citizenship.

As US citizens, both men should be allowed to participate in the US democratic process. In a more ideal world, however, neither should be able to donate more than would be for them a token amount to any given political campaign.

Try $170m and it's expected to go to $200m when it's all counted, according to the AP. Supposedly leftover funds will be used for his presidential library but we'll see how that pans out. Should be noted that he raised $107m for his first term while Biden raised $62m for his.

Also I suspect these are less bribes and more ransoms to keep Trump from targeting them.
    Both are examples of corruption.

They should be investigating Trump and the reason why he is receiving these “donations” to begin with.

We all know if you don’t pay favors to Trump, you’re not on his good side. Extortion plain and simple.
    I remember John Gruber saying.
The Trump crime syndicate is like the Corleone family but run by “Fredo”.

Whatever you think about Trump, it will be a far better four years than corrupt, derelict, puppet presidency of a senile man trying to prop up divisive, anti-American and (finally) dying, stale liberal policies. Just saying. Enjoy fellas!

    Regarding donations: it's legal.

Regarding Biden generally "getting less" from the tech firms for his inauguration. Of course. Why show support to man who was going to sic regulatory and judicial harassment on their industry? It's not very different than any one of us making donations to a candidate. You do so to support your desire for political direction and policy. They are showing they like what they perceive Trump will mean to American innovation vs the prior administration. And hopefully he will extend and exert US influence to the EU and others who are damaging and extorting US companies through mostly non-sensical punitive financial and business-alerting regulatory actions.

Why don't they question all the lobby money they get?

Bunch of hypocrites. The reckoning its coming.
The original hypocrites are the Republicans. In the early days of Biden's victory, certain corporations called for cutting off donations to Republicans who engaged in election denial. Many Republicans started "clutching their pearls" about corporations needing to "stay in their lane" and out of politics. Yet, those same Republicans are more than happy to rub shoulders with those same corporations. So the real hypocrites are Republicans. When corporations/corporate leaders embrace views that are out of line with the Republican party line, they get all sanctimonious about how corporations should stay out of politics. For the record, I'm no Warren supporter. But I vigorously oppose making Republicans out to be some kind of saints.

George Soros is a naturalized U.S. Citizen since 1961...

"Soros, a naturalized U.S. citizen, is among Hungary’s most famous native sons. A Holocaust survivor and a billionaire many times over, he has directed the bulk of his personal fortune to his foundation, which advances progressive political causes and supports an array of human rights, health and education initiatives across the globe."
