Apple has rereleased iOS 18.3, but this time it's specifically for an iPhone lineup that is more than five years old.

No, you aren't experiencing deja vu -- Apple has released iOS 18.3 again. But this time, the update arrives solely for the iPhone 11 family.

While iOS 18.3 build 22D63 was released for other iPhone models last week, a new build, build 22D64, has been rolled out to address issues that seemingly only affect the older model.

The update addresses a couple of bugs and offers a single tweak to the Calculator app, as follows:

  • Calculator repeats the last mathematical operation when you tap the equals sign again

  • Fixes an issue where the keyboard might disappear when initiating a typed Siri request

  • Resolves an issue where audio playback continues until the song ends, even after closing Apple Music

If you've got an iPhone 11, you can easily update your device by following the steps below:

  1. Open Settings

  2. Tap General

  3. Tap Software Update

  4. Tap Update Now

On other devices, many of January's iOS 18.3 updates focused on Apple Intelligence features. This included enabling Apple Intelligence by default, retooling the way it handled notification summaries, and expanding Visual Intelligence features.

I wonder what the bug was. I didn’t notice anything on my 11.

Same here. And does "iPhone 11 family" include the Pro series? I'm on an 11 Pro running 18.3 build 22D63, and software update still says I'm up to date.

I have the base model and I’m seeing the same thing. Maybe it’s ‘out’ but we can’t see it yet. It must take time to go back five years.

I wonder why the iPhone 11 needed a re-release I am personally not on an 11 and I’m waiting for 18.4 beta one to come out.

I had to do that with both of our 11s. Haven’t seen any difference since the update.

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and the usual way of updating I can't see the newest version after already updating to iOS 18.3 when it first came out. What I have noticed is that overall performance hasn't improved or gotten worse from when I had iOS 18.2.1. I do have more storage space on my phone after the getting 18.3 installed. I was at 52GB to 53GB before the update. Now I'm at just under 48GB. Originally my available space was around 10GB to 11GB. Now it's 16GB. So I really don't know what happened but it kind of reminds me of Snow Leopard reducing the file size of OS and other unnecessary files.
