Photoshop gets new AI editing tools on desktop, web, and mobile
Adobe is expanding Photoshop's AI capabilities with new tools designed to speed up editing and simplify complex tasks across desktop, web, and mobile platforms.

Harmonize automatically adjusts colors, lighting, and shadows to blend elements into compositions
Adobe is rolling out new features for Photoshop on desktop, web, and mobile. Powered by Adobe Firefly, the updates focus on faster workflows and reducing the need for manual editing.
Here's what you can expect from the updates, which begin rolling out on Tuesday, July 29.
Harmonize (beta)
The new Harmonize feature, now in beta, helps blend added elements into a composition. It adjusts lighting, color, and shadows to match the surrounding scene automatically.
The feature is available on Photoshop desktop, web, and in early access on iOS. It's designed to simplify composite creation for designers, artists, and content creators.
Generative Upscale (beta)
Generative Upscale lets users increase resolution up to 8 megapixels without major quality loss. It delivers sharper, more detailed results with minimal effort and is useful for refining photos or adapting images for different formats.

Generative upscale helps increase your image size without a reduction in quality
It's available in beta on Photoshop desktop and web platforms.
Improved Remove Tool
Adobe has upgraded the Remove tool with better fill quality and more accurate edge blending. It removes objects more cleanly and generates more realistic background fill. The result is a smoother edit with fewer visible artifacts.

Projects (beta)
Photoshop's new Projects feature, currently in desktop beta, is designed to simplify asset organization and collaboration. It lets users group and share files within a centralized workspace.
The Projects feature aims to reduce file clutter and versioning issues. It's intended to streamline workflows for team projects and campaigns.
Gen AI Model Picker
Photoshop now includes a model picker for its Generative Fill and Generative Expand tools. Users can switch between different Firefly models, each offering unique visual styles and strengths.
This gives creators more control over style and output when using generative features. It's available now on Photoshop for desktop as part of Adobe's ongoing generative AI integration.
In February, Adobe released Photoshop for iPhone for the first time. The release came a full five years after the release of Photoshop for iPad.
