Visitors hoping to take in the view from Apple Park's rooftop terrace in August 2025 will have to wait, as the space is temporarily closed for improvements.

It looks like Apple is doing a bit of sprucing up at the Apple Park Visitor Center. If you're planning a visit in August, the rooftop terrace will be off-limits until September 1. The notice doesn't say specifically what is being done, but rather that "some improvements" are being made.

When open, the rooftop terrace is primarily used as a spot to hang out and enjoy the view. Normally accessible by stairs and an elevator, it boasts chairs and tables for visitors to relax at.

Apple has also highlighted that the views gives visitors a look at more than 9,000 native and drought-resistant trees on the grounds.

The Apple Park Visitor Center, opened in November 2017, is located across the street from Apple Park. In addition to the rooftop terrace, it also features an Apple Store with both Apple products and Apple merchandise, a cafe, and a public art installation dubbed "Mirage."

The notice of closure, spotted by MacRumors, was added to the Apple Park Visitor Center page around August 5.

I remember visiting Apple Park on February 13, 2018 for the first public event at the Steve Jobs Theater where the Apple shareholders meeting was held. After the meeting, people went to the Apple Store to purchase the first version of the HomePod, which had just been made available. You were also able to view a large scale replica of the Apple Park headquarters and if you viewed through an iPad that they provided you could view 3-D renderings with graphics about the construction.
