NETROMac, I have a simple solution for you:

Propose to her. The new ring and having to plan the wedding will keep her so busy that she won't have time to use your Mac...

...until you're married. Then, well, just need to get her a Mac of her own. \

My girlfriend is all about Snood, so every now and then I have to tell her that there was an update to OS X and it broke the only available version of Snood, just so I can keep her away from it. But she's also a perfectionist, so when she has to do her homework on my Mac, it takes twice as long as it should. Solution: Tell her father that the gift he's looking to get her for keeping her grades on the Dean's List both semesters is the wonderful 12" PowerBook. It's going pretty good so far, we've talked him into it, convinced him it'll be perfect for her school work, we just have to wait a month or so. Also, I'm getting myself an iPod pretty soon, and I know better than try to keep that to myself, and she does have a birthday coming up in a couple months...

NETROMac, Apple should make a switch ad about you. It would be kinda neat to see a two people fighting to use a Mac and a PC is sitting in the corner of the same room unused.

That would be funny..especially if they were Bill Gates lookalikes..

Other point on switching campaign that has been borne out by this thread...

Apple should be tailoring its adverts to appeal to women. Portraying mac as elegant, easy to use & stylish. And of how using an Apple would make their lives easier & more fun.....You get the idea...

Women are the biggest untapped ( as of yet) group in the Computer market....& women are BIG spenders....

So if your listening Steve, Women are Apple's future....

Tell me 'bout it. If they would spend half of what they spend on shoes and clothes on macs, Apple would be very rich indeed. I guess I could buy a nice iMac for the money my girlfriend spend on shoes every year. By the way, today is payday, and guess what, she and one of her friends are going out to buy shoes. I mean, how many pairs do you REALLY need.

I own two pairs of shoes; one pair of bright-orange Chuck Taylor converse, and one pair of plain black skate shoes. Neither, however, match my Mac.
