Go rent the Bourne Identity, now that's an action movie with some class.

Bourne Identity????? That movies was total Ass. The fight scenes where the typical short cut variety to mask the fact that there was no choreography. To Each his own but BA is nowhere near this movies league IMO.

Oh yes, I had trouble understand the 10 minutes it took for the ship to dock and how that was vital in advancing the story...

Sheesh man it's a movie for Entertainment. I'm not suprised something with "linux" in their moniker is a drap and lifeless personality. Guess it goes witht the territory doesn't it?

I'm paying my $8.50 to be entertained. If Gratuitous CGI is what it takes. Sobeit

That's right. Watching a ship dock for 10 minutes - a scene that has been done countless times in other movies and this one breaks no new ground and is not central to the story - is not entertaining for me. Anf if all it takes to entertain you is gratuitous CGI? Oh well.

Oh, since you have the name of a 510 person Texas town in your moniker, you must be at least as drap [sic] and lifeless as I am.

Bah. The CG wasn't gratuitous. You obviously didn't understand it and why it was necessary.

Because the brothers Rayment can't actually become transparent, etc.? (Not a spoiler, it's in the trailer).

    Sigh. . .

The problem is you. You've glorified The Matrix to beyond what it was, and you were expecting a divine experience for the 2nd movie. Surprise, it's not a divine experience.

    Isn't Keeanu Reeves in it?

Wast he just in Bill and Ted's Excellent adventure?

BR you don't work in Warner Brothers' PR department do you?

I fully understand this is not 2001 a Space Odyssey as far as Sci-fi plots go; I'm not expecting it would be. However, I am hoping there is at least some new (and original) twists to the plot. Maybe a truly interesting new character or two. The special effects I am sure are outstanding as are the fight choreographics (is that a word?).

If all it is is more "dodging bullets", super slo-mo drop-kicks and cliches, I'll wait till it's on DVD at Christmas time (almost guaranteed to be available for the holidays). If not, I'll drop the change and go see it. I guess I'm feeling [a financial pinch right now]; not wanting to drop $18 to see a mediocre movie [I guess]. Plus I hardly get any free time anymore (weekends included) with my new project manager job so I like to make the spare hours count if you know what I mean.

heheh Touche Klinux! Nice comeback. I had no idea Murchison Texas was so small. I'm small potatos man!

Ok I agree the Docking scene was too long. I didn't mind the rave seen the the movie bogged down. Neo's relationship with Trinity was never given the attention it needed. "Neo the Oracle says I will fall in love with the One" "Great Trinity..let's hop in the sack"

Methinks the Wachowski Bros need a wee bit more work on crafing believable romances.

I can't wait to see it again. At least this is an action movie that actually provokes thought.

Was it the drop-kicks or the Cracker Jack Zen that was thought-provoking?

let's put it this way, the drop kicks were much more thought provoking than the then, but the drop kicks ruled

I thought the movie rocked. Came out of the theater feeling like I did after the first movie. Totally impressed and energetic. Liked it much better than X2.

Well usually media reviews are totally worthless IMO so I couldn't possibly care less what any movie critic thinks about TMR. If you have nothing better to do with your life than review movies - if that's all the more ambition / mental drive you have - I don't care what your opinion is anyway.

I admit: it would be a blast for about a summer (maybe two) but after that...common Jeffrey and Roger, get a friggin life already.

And remember the reviews from critics for The Matrix in 1999. The reviews were mostly negative with only a few who got it, not to mention the love-hate discussion afterwards. There are certain movies that some really love and others hate. The 13th Warrior is universally panned, but I love that movie.

Is that the movie with Antonio? My girlfriend at the time made me go see it and the trailers had made it look pretty good. I have never in my life been more disappointed with a movie. Learning an entirely new language overnight around a campfire?

But, different tastes for different folks.

the book "eaters of the dead" i believe by Michael Criehton (spelling is WAY off...) was much better...

Michael Crichton. Eaters of the Dead is an excellent book, it is based on the ancienbt epic Beowulf, also an excellent read. I have never seen 13th warrior, so I can't compare, but as a rule, the book is always better than the movie.
