Yes, for reasons not related to the issues of that thread.

Me too. For reasons that have nothing to do with the poll alternatives or reasoning.

No, but it's because of Sept. 11.

No. It's primarily because of incompetence of the Bush administration.

both of the above reasons, of which (1) is a subset of (2)

You're twisting his words. He didn't claim 'illegitimacy', just that there have consistently been more democratic votes than republican. Burn them straw-men trumptman, don't bring them in the threads.

I'm not twisting his words. You are the one desiring to play word games. He said he wasn't elected. If someone isn't legally elected they are what.... you can fill in the blank yourself as I did. The conclusion is valid.

Again his complaint about Bush not being elected relates to the electoral college. Amazingly enough there were no complaints when it was giving Clinton a majority with 43% of the vote. It is hypocritical and not a strawman. Both candidates were given a majority of the electoral college despite not having a majority of the votes cast.

    It is a valid comparision.

If you are in advertising or entertainment, none of their problems are related to the federal government and who runs it.

The real interesting thing is that 60% are no worse off regardless of 9/11, the tech bubble bursting, slower growth, etc.

It really proves how powerful the U.S. economy really has become.

well, that doesn't show much either. let's face it, this is a Mac biased, online community.

right there you're dealing with a subset who, for the most part, own Macs (make more money than average) and are online. (read: still able to pay for internet access)

granted no poll around here would be scientific, but this is a far cry to try and prove either point.

I am definitely better of, but that is due to a stroke of pure luck. Being in the right place at the right time. Otherwise I'd still be underemployed doing some kind of sales or part-time consulting. The economy is crap. I'd say it's gotten worse since Billy Bubba left, not better. Why that is anyone's guess.

Partly economic reverberations from 9-11 and the ensuing financial panic / preperations for war at home...partly yet another Congress that is not committed to a balanced economic turnaround.... etc

If anything I would expect it to be much worse here since tech has been in the crapper for quite a while now and Macs = tech.

Likewise owning a Mac doesn't make you rich, just smart.
