I got rid of it immediately--I think it's just in the views menu. We're talking about the one that has eBooks on it, correct?
No, that's under the view/task buttons. This is not a task button. On the far right, there is an LCD-like window inside the toolbar, and it rotates through little phrase-ads, like "simplify your review cycles", and if you're sucker enough to click on it, it opens up a web page trying to sell you something.
I want it gone. Perhaps I could look through the resources folder and ditch the graphics, but it seems that there's a cleaner way to rid my computer of such an abominable infestation. It makes me feel like I'm using Windows, and that makes me angry.
Beautiful! Thanks a million, I would have never thought to try that preference. I looked at it and thought it was about showing messages pertaining to updates, since it's called "Show messages and automatically update".
Now I'd have to rate this new version an A-. Scrolling support is in, and it's a million times faster than Preview.
Perhaps Apple should hire a few coders from Adobe to speed up OS X's finder? Seems like Adobe knows more about performance than Apple can even dream about.
Welcome. I didn't even know what people were talking about, because the first thing I do with every Adobe app is turn off every part of it that speaks to home.
Some people have been critical of Reader, but I am just very happy that there has been an update.
