perfect name for 970 cpus

in Future Apple Hardware edited January 2014
yes, what would be the perfect name for the [oh well, confirmed existence of] new 970 based machines?

(a) drop entire gx scheme but leave "power mac" as a wellknown brand

(b) just g5 (business as usual)

(c) drop entire gx scheme and "power mac" AND adopt funky names from different sources (e.g. astrophysic)

go ahead, boys and girls ... er ... did I ever asked, where the girls are? OK OT;-)

Obvious, but apt, for now: Godot.

I think dropping the 'G' convention and going with the IBM chip number might be the way to go.

    Powermac 970

    Powerbook 970

    iMac 750FX

    eMac 750FX

    iBook 750FX

Let the performance of these new chips speak for themselves and without the baggage/context of G3/4 or 5.

Clean slate. Remove the negative connotations associated with the mhz drought (G4.)

A new chip. A new OS. A new level of performance. I think that new plateau needs some special treatment. The media love that kind of 'relaunch'.

I think it would be good PR.

Drop entire gx AND "power mac" and take some funky names from "different sources" (e.g. names from astro-physics)

That's my vote. Something like "dumbass astronomer"

    ..wait, that was already taken

    Change is a good thing!?
