My "on the contrary" comment was more about the fact that even though you paid first and then ripped, there are potentially many others that just ripped and never paid in any form whatsoever. It sounded like you were offering a justification for what you ultimately did, so I just wanted to give a counterpoint to that scenario. That's all. The point is, you shouldn't be ripping anything of this nature to stay legit. I know, people will do it anyway, so here we are (and who am I to point fingers at anybody). So this is largely a formality, in the end.

I have 4 or 5 movies on my HD. The only one IO didn't see in thatres was Punch Drunk Love, and I haven't even watched that one yet.

I don't like to watch downloads of movies I haven't seen already, because of the quality issues.

I just finished DLing Two Towers. I saw it in the theatre, and when it comes out on DVD I will buy it. But for now, the only way I can see it is to DL it. Same with Reloaded. I'm DLing that now. I saw it twice in thatres, and I will buy the DVD. ST:Nemesis, sawthat twice, then DLed it so I could watch it again. Bought the DVD the day after it came out. The movies that I am willing to spend the time DLing are the ones I really want to see, which means I probably saw them in the theatre, and will probably buy the DVD, DLing is just a way for me to see them in the period after they're out of theatres and before they're on DVD.

deleted scenes are usually deleted for a reason. the commentary is almost always stupid. i wanna watch my movie. no FBI warnings that can't be forwarded, no trailers, no nothing.

just put the movie in and watch.

I assume you too are loving DVD Backup and DVD2One X as much as I am.

how can i masterize the dvds on a way their region code dies? i have europe-coded dvds and a mac, and now about 0,7 % of the films i see are europe-coded. so i need to use basically 3 players ... untill i get bored enough and buy the world-player.

would be a really, really good place to start.

that or region free your firmware and play your movies via VLC. either one works. personally, i'd rather reburn and clean up the other garbage while i'm at it.
