The keyboard seems to have a bit thinner edges than my pro keyboard, and the USB ports also seem to be gone. So it's either the new keyboard which also comes with eMacs and has USB ports hidden on the back, or it could actually be wireless, in which case it couldn't support additional USB devices, because they would draw too much power.
Why would super ego Steve Jobs not make a big deal out of this at the keynote if they indead had a new mouse and keyboard. Answer, because they don't have one.
The guy is a used car salesmen and he would not hold back pushing new products down your throat if he had them.
It is the same keyboard and mouse, they may have a slight color change to match the G5.
Seriously, Do you think Apple (with as tight as they are about new products) would accidentally or even purposely put their new product in a video like this?
For those of you who don't feel like downloading the entire movie, here's a screen shot of it:
I dunno... they always do extrodinarily well hiding cords in movies like this. It looks cleaner.
Your all analyzing to death the mouse when from this frame you can easily see that the left-hand display's foot is bright white and the right-hand foot is clear!!! Wow!!! It is so unApple though, but it's starting to grow on me.
Sorry, I didn't mean to dis the discussion, but marketing videos are like a George W. speech ... they carry so many layers of spin that to get any useful info from them is just futile effort.
It is obviously the same keyboard that the eMac uses, I cannot tell if it is silver or white in those images, though. It may just be the lighting. However, we can be certain that it is not wireless. The new PowerMacs are bluetooth ready. They do not bluetooth equipped by default. Ergo, we can assume the default keyboard is not wireless. The same goes for the mouse. I doubt it has two buttons and a scroll wheel either
Looks like the standard new Apple Mouse and Apple Keyboard that shipped with the eMac.
It's curious that specs say the G5s are being shipped with "Pro Mouse" and "Pro Keyboard", though, since Apple just changed the name of their their new, slightly revised mouse and keyboard to remove the "Pro."
Hmm....
edit. Just noticed that *only* the eMac ships with the new peripherals w/o the "Pro" name. iMac still has the older "Pro" models. Weird. Is just a cost-reduction measure?

most of the time for publicity shots they don't show cables. At least most companies don't
(note the bigger escape key and missing cord)
And the AlBooks:
I say it's no different than the Standard stuff
Just for kicks, here's the mouse, too:
It's their standard Apple Keyboard and Mouse... nothing to see here.
