I would like to be proven wrong this season (as a Bucks fan), but I think that TJ Ford was a poor choice for the Bucks. I look forward to when they can toss Anthony Mason out on his a$$ because he is way past his prime as evidenced by this past season. Unfortunately they are also stuck with the Tim Thomas, who is way overpaid. I have hope that he can show some stuff this coming season, but I was very disappointed with him as a starter.

I think that Karl was tossed partially because they didn't get a 'sign and trade' deal together with Gary Payton, who always had a good relationship with Karl. But I won't miss Karl and his teams of no defense/no inside presence. It would be great if they could get Carlyle from Detroit, but it looks more likely that they will have a journeyman coach.

They have room under the salary cap (AFAIK), but no big time free agents want to come to Milwaukee. That might have been a factor in Karl's ousting as well.

To me, the 2003-04 season looks pretty bleak. I have no clue who their starters are going to be and Larry Harris doesn't know either. As long as they finish better than the Bulls, then I can't complain too much...

with karl gone expect thomas to play up to his salary. everyone say the sky is the limit on desmond mason, but i didn't see it last year.

karl got 9 million in parting gifts. 7 mil. salary 2 mil for his stock.

i hate to say it but unless the get a veteran guard there is going to be a lot of pressure on groverat's T.J.
