so where are you politically... really?
Take this test and post your results.

This test is obviously biased, but I think I can live with the results. (Although it does give me the uncomfortable feeling of being a bit naive.)

Mind you,
the questions themselves are highly biased toward a left agenda....
But I am going to pass it on, my friends will enjoy it.
Thanx New

Though that survey asks some question that seem to make no sense politically in terms of finding a scale.

How do these determine where you are politically?
Abstract art that doesn't represent anything shouldn't be considered art at all.
It's a sad reflection on our society that something as basic as drinking water is now a bottled, branded consumer product.
The growing fusion between information and entertainment is a worrying contribution to the public's shrinking attention span.
Weird...

Oddly enough, I ended up in about the same vicinity as the Dalai Lama (odd because although I like the man from what I know about him, I'm very skeptical about all religion and spiritualism).
Not at all oddly, I'm close to diametrically opposite from Ariel Sharon, and roughly so from President Dubya.

Although it doesn't really mean much. I mean, there are questions I half agree, half disagree with or think completely irrelevant. It's like when the professor says, "pick the best or most correct answer" and they all svck.
For example, "Controlling inflation is more important than controlling unemployment." Modern economic theory no longer sees the two as inextricably linked. So I disagreed with the statement not because I think inflation is less important than unemployment, per se, but because I don't believe there is a trade-off.
Things like that.

SDW is a centrist!!!
Seriously, it's an assinine survey. I know New said it was biased, but I have to confess to being almost shocked at HOW biased it was.

free pot!
i dont like how left/down tends to be negative. sure, on a cartesian graph thats how it goes, but i dont like the negative implication with my leftward leanings.
never trust any test that contains the work "never" or "always" as options. outside of math and physics, those two words should never be in a question.

Yeah, the test really does seem to favor the lower left quadrant of the graph. I guess the problem is making the choices that lead to the upper right sound palatable enough when clearly spelled out.
You need warm, soft-focus imagery with slow-motion waving flags and leaders posing on battleships and earnest intonations of "proud to be [nationality of your choice]" to properly sell that upper right quadrant stuff.

Those results are fairly accurate for where I stand. But yeah, that test was very very biased.
Additionally, any survey like that should ALWAYS have an odd number of responses. There should always be opposite but equivalent choices (ie, Strongly Agree vs Strongly Disagree), but there should also always be a "Neutral" option in the middle, which this survey lacked.
