i really think justice o'connor is staying on 'til after the next presidential election because of her husband's cocktail party gaff. i also think she was forced to be interviewed by little george stephanopoulos as penance.
but i think the nastiness of the election business was in part due to the fact that it had to be done so quickly. they usually don't have to work so quickly.
