I would like the option to scan and remove duplicate songs on an iPod through iTunes as well as the iTunes library. Not just based on ID3 tags, but actually analyse the MP3. I know it will take longer, but I have 4 version of the same Beatels song and the ID3 tags are different because they came from different CD's. Also, if I change a ID3 tag on a file on the iPod, I would like it to also change the file on my computer.

One thing I've noticed when iTunes duplicates songs like that, the copy is one second longer than the original(or is it the other way around?). This would make analysing the song more guesswork and not always work.
I'd like a built in way to print CD labels. Just pick a playlist and have it automatically fill out a CD template. Of course there would be easy ways to customize the look of the label. This could be a separate app, but should integrate well.
already there. download the iTunes applescripts. the very first one in the menu is called "build CD tray insert". it uses appleworks to make one.
Why not FLAC? What about when everyone wanted Ogg? That didn't happen. Apple seems to only want us using AAC now.
And saving radio streams? People have been asking for this for awhile, and it hasn't happened. I'd also assume the RIAA would have a problem with that (not that it matters, really, but w/the iTMS now...).
Ogg is redundant, it is only known because it's open source. FLAC however does the same thing AIFF does in half the space. So yes that would be useful. It's like asking why MP4 AAC? Because it's the same quality in half the space.
Yes wrong robust I agree! Apple has such good products because we are the R&D. 8)

Yes, it will if you have an Avery template in AppleWorks to print to 5931/8931 Avery labels.
Usually template only comes with an Avery CD labelling package, but wouldn't it be quicker (and cheaper) if you could select a "create CD tray insert" button and it automatically formats the available track info to size (12X12) in a TextEdit page for printing to plain paper.

well, all it is is an applesript. write one to do that if you want.
Don't know if this has been said before, I don't have time to read the whole topic.
They should add radio-stations and a function that itunes on our computers can be radio-stations too.
Would this technical wise be possible?
A cable or adsl connection should be preferable i guess.
And probably big compression, 96Kbps?
What about laws?
I'm a dj/producer and it would be awesome if i could invite someone to listen to me when i'm mixing. Maybe an isight for video too?
Hmm, maybe i'm getting too greedy.
Any ideas?
first, theres already radio stations.
second, for a brief period, apple had iTunes v4.0 which allowed users to share their libraries with others. Not quite a radio station, but a lot better imo. It was nixed since it was abused excessively. 4.01 forces the sharing to only be on the local network. Its still cool, just not as massively cool.
I'd like to broadcast my mixes so that people can tune in, i'm not talking about sharing, i'm talking about streaming audio. (well a few seconds delay probably)
The listed radio stations that are currently available, that just doesn't do it for me, i want loads of stations. That's the best way to hear and learn something new, in my opinion.

Big ditto on that one. I'd settle for functionality similar to the find dialog box.

?FLAC playback. No quality loss, and half the size! Way better than even .SITX
?way to rip streaming radio a la RadioLover? Or are there legal issues? I need my MusicOne in Electronica!
There's no way these two will happen.

You seem pretty sure about that. Do you know something we don't?
