This is an empty argument, honestly. There are no "less dependent" countries. They are either dependent or not dependent (and not dependent on other countries that are dependent). Hence they are either a whore or not a whore. There are no "half-of-the-way" whores.



    Actually, I believe it is Iceland that is going to be a test bed for fuel cell power over the next couple of decades. The goal is to become a completely green country during that time. Depending on how successful they are will depend on whether other countries in Europe begin to start to transition. The reason Iceland was chosen was because they have more hydrothermal vents per land area than any other nation, which would be used to produce hydrogen. As well, they are surrounded by they see, which will allow them to put up wind farms to further produce hydrogen.



    This will work for them because they have a much smaller population that uses far less oil than most nations. So, in that sense, they are less dependent on oil because it is much easier for that small country to transition to green energy and less costly to do so than it is for most other countries.
