On the banning of BR
Well, apparently he went over the line. I don't know, I don't follow everything that happens here. I'm kind of sad to see him go though, he's been on here long (?) before I was, and he was always good for a nice debate. Praytell, wouldn't a 'privileges revoked'/temporary ban have been a better option. I ask this not because I want to tell you your jobs, but because I'd rather not have BR going away. In any case, it's a sad affair.

Be honest, you guys just got sick of waking up to a box full of SDW's PMs every morning...didn't you?

If you don't follow everything that happens then why comment at all?
These decisions aren't just made spur of the moment. In this case it has been a topic of discussion for some time now.
How many warnings do you want us to give? Eventually enough is enough and BR had fair warning.
I don't think the decision of whether its permanent or not has officially been made but the decision will be up to administrators.

Of course you know all the background to this and I don't. It's not my intention to question this decision, not at all. However, I do think it's not abnormal to regret the fact that someone who's been around pretty long gets kicked out (although it appears not to be forever, which I'm happy for). This is, whatever some may say, a community.
i don't know how brad makes people have fancy shmancy 'privileges revoked'. i'll have to ask.
i just did a ban 'cuz a ban's what i know how to do.

WOW. Did anyone just see me make a flip flop on the tightrope of diplomacy and still keep my balance?

I saw it. Did you see me underneath you with the net?
Still, I am against bans. For that matter, I am even against ?ignore lists?.
Edit: He made his last post at 3.53AM today on that 'other' religious thread, so he really has not been gone that long.

I was not aware that he had been banished, until now ? I had been wondering where he was, however. I had especially been wondering how I had managed to make a few posts on that current ?religious? thread without him saying something harsh.

if you notice the dates on most of these posts (all those before Scott's most recent), you can see this thread was in reference to a temporary ban some time ago. He has since been brought back, and (I think) hasn't been banned since.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I was away for a couple of weeks at the time of the ban and had not been aware.
I am still against bans though, especially permanent bans. Was there not a poster named "ena" who received a permanent ban?

Jon...I thought you were God of the forums
(PS don't ban me...I learned my lesson after having my 'privileges revoked' after calling someone a whore...or was it a slut, well it doesn't matter...you have to use nice names on these boards!)
