In reference to the above, my son wasn't circumcised. The doc told us that we'd be treating the wound for several days until it healed.

A buddy of mine told me about having his son circumcised... horrific. He nearly burst into tears when he was telling me about it. I'll bet there are films on the web, look for one with Sound to it to firm your resolve.

My boy's now three years old and he hasn't had THE FIRST urinary infection.

In Europe I haven't seen even one circumcized d!ck. There the circumcision is a practise only for jews, and the non-jews don't get any more infections than the cut versions in the US. So my suggestion: if it's a male, don't "cut" him.

That's sick. It was ok to leave the baby crying for hours but not feeding him?

My adive: run before it's too late. Kids cry 24 7, and when you think it's going to be easier after a few years he/she'll just ask for money for the next 35 years... As someone said, "the first half of your life is ruined by your parents, the next by your kids"

There are other ways to sooth a crying baby. Not that I would ever have one of my kids in daycare, but if some bitch breastfed my daughter, she would pay dearly. COMPLETELY unacceptable. I can't believe you think it's OK to do that.

human milk is more natural food for human infants than cow milk.

    Two things:

I told my wife about the breast feeding daycare and like me she wasn't horrified. As long as the milk is "good" who cares?

I'm against circumcision too. You don't cut off normal anatomy until it's a problem. People would be healthier if you cut out their appendix at birth rather than the foreskin.

Yeah I don't get murbot's reaction to the breast-feeding. Anyway, you wanna hear a truly horrible daycare story: One of our friends had a child die at a daycare. Turns out they were giving the kids benadryl to knock 'em out during nap time, and just a little bit wasn't working well enough.

The thing about circumcision is that if it's the norm, and you end up making your boy feel like a weirdo, then sure you'll have stood up for your own principles but at the expense of your son's feelings about something extremely important.

I'm guessing that you guys who think it's OK for a stranger to breastfeed your kid aren't parents... right?

Everyone I told this to had kids, and not one of them didn't react strongly against it. If I came in and saw this lady feeding my daughter I would have FLIPPED OUT.

Sorry, it just disturbs me to think that someone would do this.

Yes, that IS scary. Jesus, what the hell is wrong with these people.

Actually, my aunt is a nurse and she used to give her kids "a little something" when having guests over, so they'd nap quietly during the party. A real winner.
