Yelling "woohoo" at rock concerts ? I don't get it.

Some of you may have heard of the big Stones concert we had here in Toronto yesterday. I couldn't help but see all the footage on TV where every frickin' person yells "woohoo" at the camera...and then gives the "new " peace sign with one hand.



What's the deal with this? Is that the best they can come up with? And this new hand signing (where the pinky and index are the only upright fingers). Is this what kids are using today to show coolness and peace?

Maybe I'm just getting old.

    Not only is it the rock sign, but it's also the sign of the devil. It's also fun to yell loudly.

    I know it isn't the "peace" sign, but the new "way" of saying the same thing as hippies did in the 60's and 70's.

    But the "rock" sign? Who came up with this? When?

    I think doing that might look a bit out of place at the jazz concerts I attend.

    I believe the 'woohoo' uses a different, more common range of the vocal chords. Little girls can scream, most people 20 and over can't.

    I thought it was funny. Where's the personal attack? "White people" encompasses a pretty large slice of humanity.

    Tigger just likes bringing up the white/black thing now and then. I think he wants us to say something about blacks so he can blast us for being racist.
