I'm pretty sure they are, but so are Apple's. The point I was trying to make was that the Navy didn't choose YDL because of the price.
You are right for this one, price is an argument for the navy, but certainly not the first one : reliability is certainly the first argument, security also. YDL is the choice because it's reliable and it's secure : because they can control all the code unlike OS X.
