Is there such a thing as a combo airport+bluetooth?
If someone was to use the ibook to burn dvd'd what would it need, ram, exsternal drive. What are peoples needs, maybe the 12 doen't need much more than a few twicks and lower price.
Maybe underestimating the use and need of the 12 inch, batttery power and playing dvd's great for travel, school, home I'm using a 15inch laptop and at 6-7 pounds is tough to carry with the power pack and accessories. after reading this, maybe my next appple should be the 12 rather than the 15 or14 models, i'll have to carry it around in the store to see.
What's the purpose of the ibook anyway, schools and students don't need the extra cost, andfeatures of the pb12 basically reasonalbe speed, combo drive, long battery life, and slightly bigger HD. but if they can make the same ibook and drop the price wow. for what most people and students need--internet, wireless, combo drive. what would you rather have lower prices or more stuff. Hey a 800$ ibook wow.
Who cares what the specs are going to be as long as I don't see that spinny ball thingy anymore. I hate that, oh and I can resize the iapps window in real time instead of like mollases on a cold winter morning.

O and A, he's got a point. Mac OS X does not run very quickly on slightly older hardware (early G4's, even later G3's). and especially poorly on anything with PCI graphics (which includes some halfway-decent G4's).
Did anyone notice that the linked page says iPods starting at $399 but if you click on the 399 it takes you to the iPod page where it shows the 299 model as well. I think it was probably a typo, but you never know.
Think Secret says iMacs on Tuesday and possibly eMacs as well. Really a no-brainer if history tells us anything. (However, Apple could play with us and delay the intro a week - hardly likely though).
So TS changed their minds then? Originally they said the 3rd, which is Monday and I thought that odd considering Apple has always released on Tuesdays. So, looks like more of a guess then solid inside info.
In the past year "inside sources" have really dried up. SInce the successful lawsuit that Apple had against a couple of people, there are no "accurate" sources.

If it's eyeball gouging, why did you go thru all the trouble of digging it up?
