The country that currently kills the most number of whales is actually USA. According to Greenpeace they are killed in their 1000's by USA to protect USA's Tuna fish interests.
I'd rather we execute the people that overfish, then let the fish populations drop.
Just read the Greenpeace article on the Bowheads. That is amazing. Screw the fishing industry. I'm coming more and more to the mindset that as an industry gets larger the more stagnant they get. The Fishing Industry is no exception, they're going to fish themselves and the ocean out of existence. Eliminate the large fishing companies, buy only farmed fish or fish from independent small fishers with only one or two boats.
