I'd buy the thing in a heartbeat if it were available.
Bang up job guy!

I didn't bother looking for it on the Apple web site...but if you want to work for their design team this might be a great way to get noticed. It certainly grabbed my attention!
You may want to think a little more about the presentation. I found the animation overall pretty nice but a little dizzying. Try to keep the camera a little more horizontal and slow it down.
Nice to see people using Maya on the mac! javascript:%20x()
As for 'bubbley' look, no it is not really Apple's style anymore. But the design problem asked "If you had to hold a device like this for prolonged periods, would you want to have semi-sharp, non ergonomic edges?" Also, it is really a reflection of what I would like to see, fun, approachable and a deliberately "soft" bezel area.
For those who have been e-mailing me off this list. The tune is Art of Trance - Breathe featuring Caroline Lavelle!
Thanks again for your wonderful comments/suggestions!

How long did that take to render? And what's your processor, as you can tell from my visual i'm not that good at shading... or modeling.
I like the bubbliness, it's more ergonomic, and well, interesting. But how big is this meant to be? I'm guessing that's an 80mm disk in the animation.
