Harald and New: Salling Shareware just released the final 1.0 version of <a href="http://homepage.mac.com/jonassalling/Shareware/Clicker/index.html" target="_blank">Sony Ericsson Clicker</a>. There's an introductory price of $10 for the $13 shareware. Well worth the money if you have a compatible SE Bluetooth phone.
This very well may be the wrong thread for this, and I apologize if it is, but since we're all here talking about phones and since the T68 has been banded about a little bit already, bottom line from those who actually have used the T68i: Does it really suck, is it just the crappy GSM service in the US that makes it suck, or does it just not live up to heightened expectations since it has been linked (somewhat) to Apple and everyone expects Apple endorsed stuff to be up to Apple standards?
I've had a T68i for months and I can't wait to dump it for a Nokia bluetooth phone.
I bought it mainly for the bluetooth integration with Address Book - and that's wonderful.
Gripes:
- Menu navigation sucks.
- Sluggish navigation. I understand that a firmware update fixes this a bit, but I don't havve the necessary cable.
- Even with the keylock on, it'll turn off in your pocket. Very annoying!
- If someone leaves you a voicemail (which puts a little icon on the display telling you that you have voicemail waiting), it also sends you a SMS telling you that you have voicemail. Completely redundant and a pain in the a** because then you have to go to another menu, then sub-menu just to delete that usless SMS.
There are a few other things, but those are the main problems for me. Reception isn't as good as my old Nokia, but it's not bad.
Great bluetooth implementation, but the interface needs lots of work.

This must be a problem on the service providers side. Have you tried the SIM in another phone to see if it acts the same way there?
Can someone please forward that image to Jobs as a perfect example of why we need Apple to enter this space? <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

Saw the T610 in your <a href="http://forums.appleinsider.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=8&t=000644" target="_blank">T610 thread</a> in Digital Hub. It's a bit square if you ask me. Does the T610 at least have Bluetooth to work with SE Clicker? I much prefer the looks of the just-announced <a href="http://forums.appleinsider.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=8&t=000614" target="_blank">Z1010</a>.

It's BEAUTIFUL.
Oh wait: it's the ugliest communication device on the planet.
Sorry.

So...er, hypothetical Harald, spill the beans, hypothetically.
