P.S. Their "vast crew of young talented creative people" apparently does not include a copyeditor as their site is absolutely riddled with spelling and grammatical errors.
And funky links, I thought my computer was playing along with the joke when it went to desktops after clicking on laptops, or when it wouldn't let me go to the store page unless I first went to laptops which I couldn't get to unless I went to hte support page...etc.
they took off the This Site may not work properly on Mac and Safari Web Browser and IE Mac crap... I sent an email to the Apple copyright infringement center telling them about it... they replied saying thanks, hehehe
I showed this site to someone I know, and he replied we have one in the office!!!
Not that brand exactly, but under a different name. It was dirt cheap, and has a built in webcam built into the screen.
Supposedly the producer is quite large, so as far as them being innovative as far as design that might not be the case. All they have done is put a logo on it!
Hey. remember about how they had all those spelling mistakes and we talked about them here... well look what they added at the bottom of almost every page
"Not responsible for typographical errors and omissions."
In their "About" butt-ugly Flash presentation go to "D.N.A."...
It states that of over a 100 developers working in the company 20% are "Apple/Mac developers"...???
Their boss seems to have been in the Movie/TV business and was frustrated with the lack of performance of most computer systems of that time... Apple hater/snubber? You decide.
Plus I've seen this "template" before. They didn't even bother to create their own buttons and product boxes because they took it off a premade template! So, they're ripping off Apple and also too lazy to create their own buttons and graphics. Jeesh!

For the record, at least some of their hardware design is outsourced. A company by the name of Clevo is the ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) of their laptops, which are then rebranded by companies like http://Eurocom.com.
It's probably also worth mentioning that their flagship 17" monster would be lucky to get even close to 2 hours of battery life, particularly judging by the specs:
- Non-mobile CPU design (it's a desktop variant of the P4, not the Pentium-M chip that is part of the Centrino branding)
- Very fast system bus (by mobile standards)
- 7200 rpm hard drive in a laptop? *chuckles*
- 433 MHz DDR - errr, did a new standard come along when I wasn't looking? AMD is going to have enough problems relating to the requirement of registered 400 MHz DDR for their new AMD Athlon 64 FX chips...
All of the above criticism relating to battery power notwithstanding, it's a rather nice looking choice if you want to have a portable high-end gaming PC for LAN parties, etc. Rather amusing listening to them patting their backs for something they didn't even design though.

Actually, I kinda dig the one on the right:

Not responsible?! It's their own damn web site!
And they had to have spelled the stuff wrong themselves, because anything they stole from Apple's site would have been spelled correctly.
What a bunch of dumbasses.
