there are two scenes int he trailer where neo is wearing a blindfold... once when he tells the mainframe computer that he won't fail. the second time is at one point in the ship, and there is blood seeping from behind the blindfold. draw your own conclusions.

from looking at this thread I can tell you are a fan, well, every forum I've been too true matrix fans are in short supply, it's almost like mac-users versus the windows majority, we know how cool the movie is but constantly have to battle people saying "spare me your pseudo-philosophy jargon" and "a good summer action flick nothing more"
grr on them
Nice to see another fan here
some of the things that stuck out to me in the trailer.
~Smith in the oracle's apartment laughing...I am pretty sure I know what this means...*gulp*
~The clear sky above the dark sky, looks like the frigate was hit and it got sent upwards before careening to the ground, but the fact that the sky was pretty darn clear was really interesting, obviously the dark sky has to end somewhere, but when you see it in the animatrix it really makes it look pretty friggin thick and impermeable
~Neo seemingly "absorbing" a sentinel
~ Neo reaching out his hand, he is blinded, and destroying troves of sentinels
~ all the fire imagery, Smith, the sentinel(when it is absorbed), walking through that strange tunnel
~the horrendously inefficient weapons loading system for the Zion Combat mech armor guys
~the horrendously silly punch between neo and smith that sends them both flying away

i mentioned this to my wife, but you might notice that this is one of only a few rare times (perhaps the first -- i'm not sure) when you actually see agent smith's eyes. i'd kinda like to go back to matrix and reloaded and check to see which scenes they associate smith revealing his eyes. i have the distinct impression that smith manages to absorb the oracle, which means he acquires the knowledge of the "end of program."
also, in case no one noticed... architect & oracle = the alpha and the omega. the balance of the two have known the beginning and end of the program that is the matrix.
and, ironically, while smith called the humans a virus to planet earth, he himself has evolved into a self-replicating virus taking over the matrix.
i think you're going to see a lot of parallels between both neo and smith int he final movie. yes, the "simulatneous punch" in the rainy alley was a bit heavy-handed approach to emphasizing that fact, but there ya go...

That line leads me to believe that he has absorbed the oracle, I mean...the oracle laughs all the time, but he doesn't, and now he's hysterical?
One of my favorite things from the original matrix...
when neo is being interrogated by the agents in the very beginning.
that scene opens as though you are looking at a monitor then it morphs into the scene...ahem...architect.
that scene alone makes me hopeful for a great ending to the series that isn't a cop out or disappointment as Wobbly suggested.
at anyrate..it comes out next month! which just is totally awesome.

I'm trying to keep my hopes in check, hopefully I'm wrong and we'll be blown away.
