you learn something new every day. I knew there was a reason for me using list view and command-up, command-down.
I'm a fan of Column view. And even if I used List view, if the files aren't named with the Year first, Month second, Day third, they won't sort correctly no matter what. So I don't see what you were getting at in the first place.
And you can't order by date if the files dates aren't what you want to sort by! I sometimes make files named with the date a few days after posting something they go to. So that's out of the question.
