    I would just like to take this opportunity to officially announce that I am a participatory member and further to clarify that I have been a member for one year and five days.



    I will be providing further updates on this. For example, as of tomorrow I will likely still be a member, but the numerical record of the amount of time that I have so been will have to be increased by one day.

    JRC always bragged about the fact that he had the oldest membership, (sometime in 1998 ) and I always responded (whenever I'd see his post) that I was the SECOND oldest member here...first registered in January 1999.



    So.



    That makes me the oldest member....if it really mattered. Do I get special AI diapers to keep me from pooping in my pants? Maybe I can post in threads for a senior discount....that would be nice.



    Too bad that JRC has decided to leave, it was always easier being number two.



    Will I ever leave in a huff? Wouldn't give any of you weasels the pleasure.

    Back in my days at the old AI we used to dial into the internet manually by making screeching noises into the telephone. The server was kept in a shoebox full of 5.25" floppy disks and only worked on alternate Thursdays. Apple had just invented something called the iMac and had a new CEO.
