No, it is the people that kill people. If one is taught from an early age how to handle and respect guns, we don't see the kind of abuse that occurs in places where kids are taught that guns are evil nasty devices. You don't want your kid to stumble across a gun and play with it? Teach him proper respect for a gun and that will never happen.

If this is the only reply you can muster, it would be better not to reply at all. This is simple disrespect.

I don't see someone who committed an act worthy of being sent to death row a healthy human being. I am not taking a stance in this thread on the death penalty. Do not interpret what I say that way. I am only pointing out that this kind of comparison in this kind of thread is stupid, irrelevant, and intentionally inflammatory.

So to recap, you say I know nothing and am making all sorts of assumptions while you, OTOH, are being completely non-judgemental by assuming the doctor who actually examined her is in error and your own prowess in medical diagnosis allows you to determine her true medical status from watching a few clips on the internet.

And yet, I am the arrogant know-it-all because I offered my educational background in response to your assertion of my lack of knowledge.

Now in a convergence of ironies, you suggest that another doctor who is appearantly bragging about being nominated for a nobel BY A CONGRESSMAN and who, himself, has no published papers about his supposed successes is actually the proper know-it-all.

My repeated questions about the claims of the 15 doctors and about whether the nobel "nominee" ever examined her in person are left unanswered. And you have the nerve to suggest I'm throwing up red herrings.

You would have faired better if you had accepted my offer to agree to disagree, now you just look silly.

Exactly. Terri Schiavo isn't a foetus nor is she on death row. The issue here is whether or not she should be euthanized absent her consent.
