I'm not seeing a single one. Dumb psychology people are so stuck in their ways that they wouldn't ever think of actually installing a program that doesn't tell them they need to install it. WiMP is one and that's all they've got. Morons. But I guess it doesn't help that half of them are still running Win98. And our network guy thinks that he's keeping the department "secure" by not allowing me to get my laptop on the network. I did and he isn't. Moron^2.
Well, I got a few songs from my brother and started sharing them. A girl saw our shared music and started sharing hers. I have never been into buying music because I don't enjoy shopping for music, but with the combination of shared music and the iTunes music store, I like it. I decided to start buying one song a day. That's more sales for the music industries because I can count on one hand the music I have purchased from the big labels. Apple will take over the world, mwa ha ha!
Well, right now I'm seeing 25, and that's at 3AM in the morning. Typically, I see up to 35, and that up from about 8 Mac shared libraries before last thursday.
It's really catching on... I'm on a campus of 800 people, to boot. I'm trying to convince people to put the size of their libraries in their names, like "[60GB] Bauman's Music" so that way you can tell how much people have, and when you're looking for a specific song you can hit the big shots first, and it's ordered by size.
I wish you could display a message on the screens of the people who log onto your computer, though, like what you can do with Appletalk filesharing.
if you're using the same router, it should work fine.
at my school itunes has also blown up and now there are about 20 libraries just in one dorm since last thursday. everyone here puts their aim sn and their room number to label their library. it's pretty cool. i've already 2 new people with great taste in music since last thursday.
