We are discussing the U.S.A. because the victors write the rules. I'm sure the tribes we are discussing gained what they had at one time from the expense of others. We can't discuss the tribes they destroyed because the victor tribes wrote the rules.

I'm not on a high horse. I'm treating all winner equally. The tribes are doing 5 billion a year in business and heading towards 10 billion a year while handing their employees Medical forms to get medical treatment and giving millions in illegal campaign contributions to politicians. You know if it were any other corporation doing that you would be all over them. The hypocrisy is yours.

I would definitely 'be all over' a corporation because they have to play by different rules. If Canada were doing this I wouldn't care because Canada gets to write their own rules. That means I can go to Canada and see fully nude strippers while drinking alcohol, gamble, smoke decriminilized pot and get married to another man. Whoopie.

Reservations don't play by our rules and it's not our land to change, just like Canada.

Not only does this not address my point, but last I checked reservations were part of the ethnic cleansing process imposed on native americans. Maybe things have changed a little recently (I honestly don't know), but treating reservations as a privilege is very much like calling a concentration camp a resort.

Likewise you show me the Jewish folks who declare they can't get through life today because of what happened not even a hundred years ago. They remember the past, however they are not using it to declare they are incapable in the present or future.

As I mentioned, nice job of skirting the issue by trying to change the subject. Here's what you said:

How long is the statute of limitations for ethnic cleansing?

This belief that the past has no bearing on the future is nothing less than pure uninhibited ignorance.

I don't know what the politics are surrounding the reservations in your area, and to be honest, I really don't care. Your state got itself into trouble and you elected a movie star to solve it. California is like one big fvcking cartoon. And now you want to blame the Native Americans. What was it again two weeks ago that you were blaming it on? Immigrant education? It just never ends with you people. I really honest don't care at all about your loony toons state politics, but when you start making idiotic statements like the one(s) above, I'll point it out if I have ten minutes to kill.

Carry on with your whining about how everyone else screwed up your state while you have had all the answers all along. Too bad you don't hold the world's record for consecutive cartwheels so you'd be qualified for a california political office.

    Typical giant...

I mean I certainly remember all the gas chambers on the reservations don't you?

My contention is true. Jewish folks in the United States are not seeking some right (gambling) that others do not have because of their past. Obscure it all you want, but that remains true.

Make an unproven assertion. Repeat it endlessly. Add an extra mention of I don't care for good measure.

    I don't care... I don't care... I don't care...

You keep posting on it because... you don't care...

BTW, nice spin, free college vs. heavily subsidized college for illegal immigrants during a 38 billion dollar shortfall becomes "immigrant education." You are quite the character. Likewise after the recall Davis VETOED that measure so I guess those dirty Democrats all hate "immigrant education" as well right?

    You are a joke.

Yes except they have to sign compacts with the various state governors to be allowed to do the gambling they currently do. Other states do get a share of these revenues. California does not because Davis, the political whore, sold us out just as he did to the electric companies, and anyone else that would give him a donation.

Likewise Canada doesn't come into California and drop millions on influencing elections. If, say up there in Chicago, you were getting the effects of pollution in Canada, and then Canada came in and dropped millions on electing pro-pollution/anti-environmental candidates, to insure the ability to continue their present actions, I know you would contest this.

Native Americans are sovereign on their land. However they also want to buy new land, closer to population centers and build casinos. They have to make trade offs to do this.

Likewise you avoid the core issues about progressive politics. Are you saying you would support Canada criminalizing drugs? Outlawing gay marriage, etc just because they your neighbors? They may do that and you have no say, but that doesn't mean you support it.

So do you support a 5 billion dollar a year industry that pays their employees so little they qualify for state medical programs for the impoverished? Do you support their repression of unionization attempts? Do you support them getting exclusive rights to gamble and giving absolutely nothing to all the surrounding communities?

I'm in favor of Canada doing whatever it wants, since I'm in favor of freedom and autonomy. I would be much less happy if the U.S. forced all of my beliefs on Canada than if Canada voted out beer.

Interesting. You don't like the deals that were negotiated by your forebears with the tribes anymore, so you think they should be strongarmed into renegotiating a deal that suits you better?

Sure and I think they should do the same with those "evil" electric companies as well. Davis as a whore that gave away the farm.
