    The answer is so simple, I'm surprised no one has suggested it!



    Simply start your G5 in FW target disk mode, which immediately cranks your 9 fans up to 100%. The resulting air flow will clean out any dust you may have in the computer.



    Hell, if you have a piece of paper near the front, it'll suck it to the front grille and hold it there like nothing.



    Keep in mind, you may want to wear ear plugs while doing this, or leave the room while you let it "clean".

    But since it's safe to use with electronics you don't have to worry about whether or not it's all dried up. I don't think it's a good idea though; it's way too expensive to use that way.

    I clean out my cube every 6 months or so as it is in the basement and it gets quite dusty down here. I clean out my tower less frequently because I don't use it as much. I put a network card (which didn't work!!! ) into my 6400 a few months ago and it was wicked dusty, so I gave it a quick clean. Works wonders for the heat, which in turn works wonders for speed and the life of the computer too.
