Check out tex edit plus. while not cocoa it has sheets, opaque window resizing, palettes, even Services, and other OS X features. It has a spell check, find & replace, justification, indents, and a clean interface. It costs $15. Or you can use it nag-free forever for $0. It's a great program.
How can you set Font size in TextEdit? It's easy to make fonts bigger and smaller but where can I see the actual Font size? I had made a document in TextEdit, it looked fine on the screen but when printed the font was so small it was almost unreadable
Everyone's aware that Panther contains a boatload of under-the-hood text improvements. (I remember seeing a full list of the improvements to the text engine, but can't remember where.)
Since most of the "heavy lifting" for these changes is done by the system and apps will simply have to call on the frameworks, does anyone know how soon it will be before Nisus and Mellel will be able to roll out major updates?

Do you mean Tex-Edit or TextEdit? In TextEdit you hit Command+T or choose Format>Font>Show Fonts. In Tex-Edit you can Tools>Show Tools and see it there, or hit Command-T or Format>Show Fonts.
