For clarifications, I have a new machine, and if I have the latest hardware, I expect to be able to run the latest software because if it couldn't, it shouldn't be sold as a current machine.
At first I thought you were being sarcastic. Then I saw where you posting from, and realized you were serious.
That's the resource fork data of the app. The app may not run or may not run properly without it. You'll have to find a way of merging that with the data fork.
As I mentioned, I'm using a new iBook G4... someone has 10.3 preinstalled.
But using the fancy icon works pretty well, it seems... don't know if the app is functioning perfectly because I don't know what that would feel like in terms of the game itself. No biggie.

There's no question of it functioning well- it has 3 lines of script.
It just does its job, and quits itself. That's about as perfect as it can manage.
Gaming rig's now days have a minimum of 512MB of RAM. Windows, Linux(??!), Mac OS. It doesn't matter what you have, Games require RAM.
Also Newer Macs hate 640x480 3D, always do 800x600 or better @ 32-bits.
My iBook 700 did UT @ 640X480 at about 15fps
where as the same machine did 1024x768 at about 30-40fps. (not technical quotes)
But the iBook G4 does have the power to play any game out now, if it won't do it for you, do what I do. Write the publishing and tell them what happened.
later,
-walloo.

They are maybe not the best for the purpose, but you ought to be able to run older games (UT2k3 is now more than a year old, not for mac, but it's still old) acceptably. The hardware that's in the iBook should be more than enough to push a game like UT2k3. If it doesn't run well, it's likely to be the fault of those who ported it (Westlake), for not optimizing it enough. That's very common.
But they shall have credit for doing the job of porting in the first place :-)

Looks like someone isn't using 10.3 yet.
