bring back them cute colours and the iMac will kick ass again.
right now it's a niche product, not at all what the CRTs were, everyone with any taste would've loved to have an iMac, and with all the different skins it was way ahead of it's time, nokia saw that and made swappable skins for their consumer phones.... instant hit.

I guess Apple needs to do something very special for the Macs' 20th birthday.
They will have the full attention of the media. The 20th anniversary will bring back the cozy feelings of the early years.
It would be foolish by Apple not to capitalize on that.
This might be also a wonderful testbed to try out something new.
If it fails Apple could say, that it was a one time incentive. If it is a hit they could build upon that.
I'm already very excited.
